Three Dragons Appoints New Consultant Benjamin Vickers
Released On 16th Dec 2022
Three Dragons has recently been joined by a new team member, Benjamin Vickers.
He is a chartered planner, with 10+ years working for Camden and Cheshire East councils predominantly developing planning policy. Most recently at Cheshire East Council, Ben was responsible for monitoring and reporting housing delivery, including the council’s ‘Five Year Supply’ and performance against ‘Right to Build’ legislation (self-build).
Ben has an MA in Town and Country Planning achieved through distance learning, which he studied whilst working full time working in data management roles within the charity sector. Alongside his work with Three Dragons, Ben is Treasurer/Board Member for the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Northwest Branch and Planning Aid volunteer.
Talking about his new role, Ben said; “I first encountered Three Dragons at City Hall (London) back in 2015, where they presented the results of their housing density study commissioned by the Mayor of London. I recall the study being very influential on the London Plan review so when a chance to join Three Dragons came up, I jumped at it. Everyone has been great, particularly helping me transition from working within the public sector to working in private practice. I’m looking forward to working with our clients, getting stuck into the Toolkits, and learning from the team”
