Passivhaus - Research  Note Published

image of a houseThe UK has set in law a target to bring all its greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050 and this has placed Passivhaus development in thehousing construction spotlight.  A research study undertaken jointly by Three Dragons and Dr Sarah Price of Enhabit Ltd, explored the implications of including Passivhaus in new developments.  The research concluded that Passivhaus delivers a broad range of benefits for occupiers, that it performs well in comparison with other similar energy efficient homes and that the overall viability of Passivhaus may not be that different from other similar types of housing – although there is less evidence for large scale Passivhaus development.
