New Forest National Park Authority
Three Dragons has been appointed by the New Forest National Park Authority to carry out a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) study. The Authority does not currently operate a CIL and, if one is adopted, it will become the second National Park Authority in England to do so (after South Downs National Park). The study will look at viability headroom for a CIL, testing a range of sites in the National Park. The results will inform the Authority’s board who will then make a decision on whether to adopt the levy.
Three Dragons previously carried out the economic viability assessment which informed the New Forest National Park Authority’s Local Plan. The Plan was found sound in the Inspector’s Report dated July 2019 and formally adopted in August 2019. The Local Plan Examination documents can be viewed here.
