How better use of the planning system can increase provision of specialist housing for older people

Three Dragons is delighted to have worked with Retirement Housing Group on their recent report on how to reform the planning system to increase the delivery of retirement housing. It calls for a series of updates to the planning system to help bridge the gap between demand and supply of specialist housing for older people in the UK. The report finds that supply is failing to keep pace with the ageing population and it is vital that the planning system does more to encourage the provision of housing for older people. It calls for changes to local and national planning guidance, and for 10% of all future housing supply to be specifically for older people. Read more here
