Demand for mobility scooter storage

The 2019 London Plan requires older persons housing schemes to provide suitable levels of safe storage and charging facilities for residents' mobility scooters. It also requires pick-up and drop-off facilities with appropriate kerbs close to the principal entrance suitable for taxis, minibuses and ambulances. Three Dragons undertook the research underlying both policies. This included estimates of potential demand for mobility scooters in retirement housing schemes and interviews with providers about current levels of provision of scooter storage.
